I have spent the majority of my life studying and practicing the art of mindfulness, including the processes of accepting and allowing internal processes (such as thoughts, feelings and body sensations) to occur while holding focus to the present moment.

Mindfulness principles can be learned within a number of mindfulness based therapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is a pragmatic empirically based psychological intervention that can help people deal with life experiences and to take action based on values (as opposed to thoughts and feelings) and direct focus on what is truly meaningful.
