Jason Leffers is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) under the Psychology Board of Australia. A member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Clinical College, Jason provides focussed psychological therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in various mental health areas.

He also offers therapeutic support to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Jason utilises evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Prior to private practice, Jason worked at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in the Onkaparinga region for several years, practising child and adolescent psychology.

As a requirement for working or volunteering with children in South Australia, individuals must have a Working with Children Check. Jason holds a valid Working with Children Check dated 09 July 2024.

Throughout my life, I have dedicated myself to studying and practising mindfulness, particularly the processes of accepting and allowing internal thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations to occur while maintaining focus on the present moment.

Mindfulness principles can be acquired through various mindfulness-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is a pragmatic, empirically supported psychological intervention that assists individuals in coping with life experiences and taking action consistent with their values rather than being influenced by thoughts and emotions. Consequently, direct attention is directed towards what truly matters.
