Angela is an experienced and passionate Social Worker who has worked in the mental health sector for over a decade supporting adults, families and young people to increase their own capacity and mental wellbeing.
Angela has worked in adult and community mental health, non-government mental health and disability settings, drug and alcohol support services and NDIS settings. Angela is also a Teaching Assistant and Field Educator at Flinders University within the School of Social Work and has a keen interest in the development of future Social Workers.
Angela enjoys working with adults, parents and older teenagers and holds expertise in therapeutic counselling, integrating a variety of evidence based interventions including Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), family systems approaches and attachment and trauma work.
Angela offers individual therapy to adults and young people (16+) and family systems therapy depending on the clients’ needs. Her areas of particular interest include: anxiety and depression; trauma related issues; borderline personality disorder; attachment and parenting; and drug and alcohol. Angela also has a passion in supporting parents or care-givers on building stronger connections and positive attachments with their children.
